Olivia's Preschool Graduation!

Olivia could hardly wait for her preschool program. I have never seen someone more excited for something in my whole life.
EVER!
Olivia has LOVED (an understatement) preschool and ADORED (another understatement) her teacher. I hope this excitement for school carries on into Kindergarten.

Liv waiting patiently for the program to begin.
This is one of my favorite looks from Liv.
This is her embarrassed yet happy to be there smile.
She was a cute little snowflake with her friend Phoebe.

She was also a tooth bug with another friend Kamryn.
Liv getting her diploma with her amazing teacher Mrs. Wilkinson.
Exchanging gifts and hugs.
One proud mama!
I have posted 3 videos.
The first video is the farewell song. (got a little teary eyed on this one.)
The second video is Liv dancing as a snowflake. (super cute)
If you are going to watch one video,
WATCH THE LAST VIDEO. It is Liv saying her part. She is SO nervous and is trying hard to be brave. Her voice gives out during the very end. It is so funny and incredibly sweet!
(unfortunately I filmed some of the videos sideways. Turn your head...it is worth a little neck ache!)

Soccer season is over. (phew)
It was so great to watch Dru progress along with the rest of the pink panthers.
Although soccer is not her first love, Dru played her heart out.
She had a great coach and amazing family support at every game.

Dancing Dru

Dru had a dance performance this weekend.
She was one of the 7 dwarfs. (grumpy, which does not match her personality.)
She was not nervous at all and did a wonderful job!

This is her cute friend Kate.
This is her cute teacher Miss Ashley.
The grandparents came to support Dru!! THANK YOU!

The video is not great but at least it gives you an idea.
She is the one on the far right.

Dru cracks me up!

So the other day Dru asked to borrow some ribbon. (a normal question from my crafty girl)
Of course I said yes and a few minutes later she came out with this sweet note for her pregnant dance teacher.
You may have to click on the photo to read her sweet handwriting and misspelled words. I didn't have the heart to correct a single thing. (the English teacher inside of me cringed and the mom in me melted.)
Dru does stuff like this all the time.
She is crazy thoughtful with a huge heart!

17 weeks!

Owen and Grandpa Martin

Grandpa came by with a pack of colorful bubbles for the girls.
We had sticky hands and bubbles everywhere.
Thank you for always being so thoughtful!!

Taking a walk in the wagon while the weather was good.

Owen is actually 17 weeks today.
This is an older picture.

Little O is a good sleeper just like his older sisters.
Here is a shot of Owen right before going down for a nap.
{i love this sleepy face}

Sunday naps....Martin style

Liv: so exhausted she collapses on the floor
Dru: makes it to the top bunk but leaves feet dangling off the edge
Rylie: doesn't sleep a wink!

Chances are good!!!

Friday was cool and rainy.
Ryan had this great idea of watching
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
and eating spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.

Ryan's future golf buddy.
Checking out golf stats on the computer.

I have always wanted to be a mom.  Just a mom.
This is why.

Dru loves to write.
She writes stories, love notes, lists & school stuff with her sisters.  She will even copy books cover to cover.

Below is a menu so she could play restaurant.
(That is one expensive shake)

Here is a list I found that she had written.
Did I mention the size of this girl's heart?
It's HUGE!
She is pretty thoughtful for a 7 year old.

15 Weeks

This is Owen with my Grandma Wheat.  (aka: grams)
I am so grateful she was able to meet him.
I LOVE my Grandma Wheat and truly treasure my childhood with her.

3 months & 14 days...

That is how long it has taken my girls to put something girly on Owen. (longer than I thought)
I will try to make sure it is the last but I fear it won't be.

{the bracelet}

shhhh.....don't tell ryan

Hello handsome!

Owen is sick for the first time.
Boo!
Even with droopy eyes Owen still looks super handsome in his Sunday outfit.

14 weeks!

Owen is smiling like crazy.

WARNING:  It took 10 hours to get to Sacramento.
It may take you 10 hours to look at this post.

We drove to California to spend a weekend with our good friends.  I hate driving long distances, but for this family I will do just about anything.  We have been friends for 8 great years.  They moved away and we miss them like crazy.

We watched some T.V., played games and visited until the wee hours.

We went to Fairy Tale Land.
(super cool park full of live animals and fairy tale themed adventures)

I love this picture!

Check out Brenden in the background.

Leaf creations by Dru Martin.
This girl can make a craft out of anything.

We stopped at a little amusement park and rode a few rides.

We played at the park.

They live in a beautiful area with killer parks.  I am SO jealous.
Check out this baby below!
They also have a beautiful pool.
It was perfect weather during our stay so we went swimming a couple of times.

Rylie sporting her pool side hair.  Yikes!
The boys took the kids to the lake while Kim and I went shopping.
(we watched the kids the day before while the boys went golfing...2 rounds)

More swimming.

Owen was a dream baby.  In fact, he "dreamt" most of the time.
We ate like crazy and finished off each meal with a fun dessert.
This night we made s'mores in their cool outdoor fire place.

They have 2 darling boys.  No dolls to play with but we made due.

We rode the train in Old Sacramento.
Owen did not like the train whistle blowing.

The girls slept about 20 minutes on the way to Sacramento and slept all but 20 minutes on the way home.  (a sign of a good vacation)
Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!
What an amazing trip!  We loved EVERY second!
