A little update:  Dru had a great first day of school and everyday just gets better and better.

Ry even came home early to meet Dru at the corner.

Dru was invited to a pirate party. With just a family of girls, we didn't have much to dress up with.  We came up with this which worked for her.  She had a blast.

Dru's first day of first grade

I can't believe I have a first grader.  Dru was so nervous last night just thinking about this morning.  She had a hard time going to sleep.  She woke up and seemed excited.  Phew!  I kissed her a million times and wrote a secret note for her secret pocket in her back pack and cried as she walked away with all her friends.  They were "excited tears."  

This was yesterday.  I had just explained to Olivia that Dru was going to school tomorrow and would be gone all day.  Liv started to cry and said, "I will miss my Druby."

The o-FISH-al party

Rylie turns 2 on Sunday, but celebrated with a fish party last night(to fit everyone's schedule).  I am not sure if Rylie had a clue what was going on but she had a smile on her face the whole time.  We invited family and had a great turn out.  Thank you everyone for coming!

I love birthday parties and find them more fun for me if there is a theme.  I found with a fish theme,  a lot can be done. 

 We had a guessing jar, fish facts questionnaire, gold fish crackers, gummy fish and worms, real fish for a center piece, fish games with a fishing pond perfect for handing out the party favors. (a bag of gold fish crackers)
