Liv and Dru made their Christmas lists for Santa.  They had such a fun time doing this.  They circled a million things in a bunch of magazines and colored pictures.
We are starting early this year.  Last year I did too many things.  I am definitely going to simplify this year.

Another school day for Dru.  Dru continues to love school and comes home with fun art projects and letter worksheets.  I volunteer in her classroom as much as I can.  I love watching her interact with her friends.

Some fun pics.

Rylie is walking everywhere!  When I pick her up she loves to point and make a surprise face.

Here is Dru showing off her turkey hat she made in Kindergarten.

Rylie does not grasp the concept of smiling for the camera.  When I pull it out to take a quick pic, she just tries to grab it.

Dru jumping on the trampoline.  We have been outside a lot enjoying our last good days of Fall weather.

Olivia and her cute smile which now has some bling!  Yikes!

I have no new pictures so here are some funny stories...

I was cleaning the bathroom today while Dru and Olivia were playing dress ups.  Dru walks in with princess gear on head to toe and says, "I am in no rush to get to the ball, do want me to help you clean?"  I laughed and said of course and handed her the windex and paper towels to clean her mirrors in her room.  She seriously said that!  Ha ha ha!  What a cutie!

We got a fun surprise from Rayne today and inside was a shirt for Livy that said "Happy Go Lucky." Perfect for her, right?  She asked what it said and then after telling her, Livy said, "That is so me." Ryan and I cracked up.  She makes us laugh all day long.

Rylie is just sputtering out new words left and right.  Her latest are... happy, hot dog, ball, tickle and tummy.
Rylie loves when I brush her teeth.  When she even sees a tooth brush she will open her mouth. Rylie is also loving books.  She loves to be read to.  She won't sit too long, but walks from room to room handing me books and then plops down in my lap.  She is such a cuddler.

Tonight for FHE we read a story from The Friend.  The girls were a little bouncy and I thought they weren't paying attention.  When I finished the story, I quizzed them about the details.  They didn't miss a question.  They knew every answer perfectly.  It just made me think how they are watching us and paying attention to everything we do whether we know it or not.  These girls are keeping me on my toes.  I love them for that.

Morning Routine

I love when Rylie wakes up.  She is so predictable.  I go in to get her between 9 and 10.  She will wake up on her own and play or lay there until she is ready to get out.  She says  "ma" (pronounced "muh") and I run to get her.  We do a quick diaper change, get her dressed (I bathe her at night) and then off to go eat a bowl of cereal.  The second I place her in her seat and give her a drink of milk, she wants the Thanksgiving decor.  I give her one at a time and make her say "please." (prounced "mease.")  She shakes them and laughs in between bites.  I will have to find something fun and Rylie proof for my Christmas decor.

Date with Dru

My date with Dru:

Dru completed her reading chart and her reward was a date with mom. (Dru chose that by the way.)  We spent the morning doing things Dru wanted to do.  We started at Wal-greens. -NO, this is not a store we hit frequently, in fact I only went once to fill a prescription so I could redeem a $25 check.  We went to spend the money.  Dru picked out several surprises.  One was this dazzling set of press on nails.  I gritted my teeth and then said yes.  She is such a sweet heart and decided to share them with Olivia.  Here are the pics.  The first one looks like a wedding announcement. Ha Ha!

We then went to Pebbles in my Pocket.  Our favorite local scrapbook store.  Dru picked out several supplies to make some of her amazing cards.  I don't think a day has passed without the girls making some sort of craft or card.  They are so creative.  It was a great morning.  I love spending time with the girls individually.  They are so different in many ways, yet alike in many as well.  My friend Sue gave me a frame with the following saying, "Sisters are like ladybugs. . . they are little ladies who bug each other."  So true!

I couldn't imagine my life without my sisters and sisters-in-laws!

Dru's pics

Dru got a hold of my camera and took these shots.  Almost every time I load more pictures on the computer I find these treasures.  I decided to post the latest.

11.5.08 snow

Snow...Snow... and more Snow!

Dru and Olivia spent most of the afternoon playing in the snow.  It snowed all day long.  I hope it melts and only snows in December.  Then it can all melt January 1st and not come back until next December!

Halloween

Happy Halloween!

Dru and Liv running like crazy to get more and more candy.  Little do they know, they will never see it again.  I love Halloween except for the candy!

Rylie trying to sneak hard earned candy from her sisters.

These pics are a little out of order. . .we stopped by Gma and Gpa Martins to say hello and to show how cute the costumes looked.  Thank you for the costumes!  It was fun to snap some photos and to get our first trick or treat candy.

Rylie (china doll) loves attention and found she got it when she wore Ryan's wig.

Dru made a beautiful bride and Olivia was a darling princess.

We spent Halloween weekend with our friends the Fairbanks.
We ate at all hours.  (I am sure I gained 10 pounds)  We watched 2 movies and a million great games, (Go BYU!) played ping pong, the boys went golfing, the kids played and played and played.  It was a blast.

Brendon and Talan were  super cute ninjas.
