Rylie's princess party

This cute girl turned 5 yesterday!
She celebrated with a princess party.

Dru and Liv were so adorable and wanted to dress up too.
They were such a help and so sweet to all the girls.

Rylie invited her darling cousin, Eva May.

Princess decor.  Horrible lighting but you get the idea.

We started off the party with some serious coloring.
The girls could have done this for an hour.
I had to keep things moving because we had a lot on our party
to do list.

My amazing mom came to help out.  I could not have done it without her.  She is a master story teller and read the girls some princess books.
We then went outside for a quick photo shoot.
They were all so cooperative.  What a great age!

Liv was great to lead the girls in some games while the table was being set for paper princesses.
The girls glued together a complete princess that I cut out on my cricut.

We also hid jewels downstairs for the girls to hunt for.
Dru had the perfect idea to tell the girls that a princess was over and ripped a whole in her purse and lost all her jewels and they should help her out by finding them.  How cute is that?

The last game was pass the purse.  I put princess prizes in a purse and we passed it around until the princess music stopped.  The girl left holding the bag got to pick a prize.  They loved this one.

After dinner it was present time.
Rylie received so many thoughtful presents from her
cute friends.

Instead of a cake, the girls frosted cookies and ate them after singing to Rylie.

I didn't realize but I stuck some trick candles in the cookie.
The girls thought this was hilarious!

We then danced until all the parents came to pick them up.

Rylie gave each of her friends some princess school supplies,  tiara and a rice krispie wand.

Rylie's birthday celebration actually started earlier that day.  Gma Kathy came to pick her up and took her to Build A Bear and then to Yogurt Stop for her favorite dessert!  She picked out a bear and dressed it with all the bride clothing and accessories.  She was SO excited to tell me all about it when she came home.  Rylie has been dreaming of this day ever since Olivia went with my mom on her bday and picked out "Bella."
Rylie named her bear "Darcy."
My girls love one on one time with Gma.

The celebrating continues...
Gma and Gpa Martin came over later that night to see the birthday girl.  They came with a perfect Dora card.
{Rylie still loves Dora. Just check out her pjs.}

Gpa's clever envelope.

Rylie loves her Tinker Bell art kit.

And all the fairies!  She knows all their names.
I do too.  :)  Ha ha.

Playing with all the loot from the big day!

A new tradition

We went swimming on the first day at school.
I think we have found a new tradition.

Going with this cute family made it more fun!

First day of school

What a difference a year makes.
Olivia ran to her 2nd grade class and never looked back.  She was SO excited for school and came home higher than a kite.  It was night and day from last year thank goodness!

Dru is in the fourth grade.  How did that happen?  She had a great first day and loves her teacher.

These two are such good friends.  I love to listen at their bedroom door to all their funny little conversations.  It melts my heart.

Our next house better have a downhill driveway.
We spend 99% of our time riding bikes in our front yard.

 I love this face...

and this face.

This is the time when Rylie looses control of the wagon and sends Owen flying into the back of my car.

ADORE this face.

Rylie makes some great faces too.
