Karate

Owen started taking karate lessons and loves it.
He takes it very seriously.
He has memorized several things to say and do.
It is so fun to watch.

He broke his first board!

Lucky us!

We were lucky enough to babysit George one day.
The kids all fought to hold, feed, squeeze, look at and snuggle him.
Owen is obsessed with Geroge!

My parents were out of town for a few weeks so we were lucky enough to
have Kim come stay with us.
She joined in the Lego fun and built a house for herself.

She loves playing with Legos but her #1 love is her phone.
She is constantly checking instagram, her email and the weather.
I snapped this photo of her texting back and forth with Bubba.
She truly was in heaven.

Zoo Day!

Owen was counting down to the day his kindergarten class went to the zoo.
I signed up to volunteer weeks before and on the morning of the big day it SNOWED.
The snow made it an adventure.
Owen sat next to his buddy Jett.  I squished with them on the same seat.

The snow did not slow us down.
We saw everything we wanted to and loved every second.

His other best buddies, Emme and Samara.

Officially a teenager

Dru turns 13!

I am truly honored to be Dru's mom.  I am in awe of who she is becoming.
She is someone who looks to serve.  She can read a social situation
and goes out of her way to make someone happy and feel welcome and included.
Dru is the best sister.
Proof in the 2nd picture below.
I think all her siblings would agree.
Dru is an amazing lego builder, reading machine, tennis player, dreamer, loyal friend, ambitious, scholar student, scripture reader with a heart of gold.
Not your average teen.
I love you Druby!

Dru had some special visitors.
Dru is well loved!

Adorable Archer-(Dru loves to babysit the Brookshires)

Her sweet friend Emma

The amazing Kenzie!  These two share a birthday.

We went to go see Zootopia as a family on her actual birthday.

That weekend we celebrated with her friends with a mall scavenger hunt.
It was a success!
Dru has such darling friends.  It was so fun for Ryan and I to watch them.

We stopped at Yogurt Stop on the way home.

Easter!

We had our traditional Easter egg hunt at my parents.
The kids look forward to this every year.

We also had our annual neighborhood egg hunt.
We love our neighbors!
