I was looking back through the pictures of Dru's birthday party and decided I just couldn't leave any out.  Too fun and too cute!

The party

We had a baking party this year for Dru.  She invited 3 darling school friends over on Saturday to get crazy in the kitchen.  Olivia was also part of the party and didn't miss a thing.  I made little aprons for each girl to wear as they arrived.  We played a fun bingo game and then ate lunch.   We then made chocolate chip cookies and decorated cupcakes and heart-shaped cakes. The girls followed the recipe perfectly, took turns doing everything, did some major taste testing and giggled their little heads off.  It was a joy to watch.  What a fun age!

Happy 40th Anniversary!

My parents celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary today!  Congratulations to you both!  To celebrate this major accomplishment all the siblings surprised them with a hot air balloon ride in Park City, brunch at the Windy Ridge Cafe and some shopping at the outlets.  Unfortunately, due to the wind they were not able to take the balloon ride today.  They still went to Park City for a fun day and will take the ride another day.

Look how cool my dad is...

We did some remodeling in our basement last summer making an official laundry room and a bathroom.  We had some final details that needed to be completed.  My dad came over and made this beautiful window trim.  After a lot of measuring, cutting and staining, here is the finished product. 

He also installed this awesome contraption to help with drying clothes.  

My dad can pretty much do anything.  Thanks Dad!
