Fore!

Before this rainy weather came into town, we went to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls.  The girls are really getting the hang of it and can really hit the ball well.

When it was Rylie's turn to take a swing she would put the ball on the tee and then pick up the ball with her hands and throw it out into the grass.
Ry gave her a quick lesson on how to hit the ball using the club.
Rylie didn't last too long and just ran around and wanted a drink from the drinking fountain every 30 seconds.
side note:  this is not a wig.  this is rylie's actual hair.  it has a mind of its own.
...and so does she.

Dru's first game!

Dru had her first soccer game!  She did well and was able to keep up for a whole hour.  It was a blast to watch her run back and forth.  She said that she likes to be on defense so she doesn't have to run so much.  She has never played soccer before and will learn a lot this year.  We are so proud of her!
Cheering on her friend who was the other team.

She is looks like the cutest little soccer munchkin in this picture.
This is Dru and Annjane playing defense.

a few seconds later...
they are sitting down on the job.
Soccer treats!
Grandpa Steve, Grandma Kathy and Kim came to cheer on Dru.
Grandma and Grandpa Martin came too!
Dru has a lot of people that love her.

The big day

Olivia woke up saying,"This is the best day ever!"  She had 3 1/2 hours until she left for preschool and she was already on cloud 9.  She could not stop talking which is what she does when she is excited about something.  We were ALL counting down the minutes until the clock struck 12:15 and we could leave.  FINALLY!  I gave her a super long hug and a quick kiss and off she went without ever looking back!
 I will miss her.

However, With Rylie's amazing napping schedule I have 2 1/2 hours to myself!
It is going to be a good year.

The first day of school photo shoot

Liv was pretty sad about leaving her buddy at home.  Thankfully, Rylie gave her some good hugs and said that she would miss Olivia.
It made Olivia's day to hear that!
FYI:  Rylie will NOT wear any bows!  It's a bummer.

Mirror Lake

We went camping at Mirror Lake over Labor Day weekend with some great families from our ward.  We laughed when we looked around and realized every child there was a girl.  I think 13 little girls was the final count.  It made for a relaxing trip with a little crying here and there.

Liv on the lake.
Dru building a pretend fire with her friend Bella.
Rylie doing a little texting.
Ry fishing on the fly.
Our good friend Jimmy who is a master fisherman was showing Rylie some fishing techniques.

{check out Rylie's hair!}
Dru with the one and only fish that was caught that day!

A little piece of heaven for Ry.
Olivia Gloeckner and Dru
Dru and Lexi
Zack and Amy playing kubb.
What a fun game! We came home and made our own set the very next day.
The crowd watching the game.

The king Kubb falling down due to Ryan's great aim.
Amy thought of everything this trip and even brought a pinata.  The kids had a blast whacking the butterfly.

We ended this fun camping adventure with a stop at the falls.
Dru taking a fall herself.

Soccer is right around the corner

We had our first soccer meeting yesterday.  Everyone was excited.  I don't know a thing about the sport but soccer happens to be Ryan's sport.  He helped her learn some basics.

Liv gives it a try in her flip flops.

Rylie eating all the goodies
Ryan practicing all the soccer moves
Dru practicing her own moves

We are so excited for an awesome soccer season.
First real practice next week.
First game the following Saturday!
