A Lot of Lake Powell

We spent UEA weekend at Lake Powell with Ryan's Parents.  It was the most fun trip we have had on the lake.  The weather was perfect, the water was glass, we ate great food, laughed at the funny things the girls said and did, cheered for each other from the boat and got some great sun on our cheeks.  Thanks Jim and Taunya for a fabulous weekend.  You were very generous!

We stayed in a nice trailer on shore.  This picture showed where we spent our evenings.   The girls played for hours in the sand.

Our family with Grandma and Grandpa.

Ryan caught a lizard for the girls.  They are deciding on a name.  Tommy or Lizzie??  We brought it home in a water bottle.  I tighten the lid every time I walk by.

We celebrated Taunya's birthday on Saturday.  With Ade, Elisabeth and Alex, we gave her a camera for her computer so she can use Skype.  Happy birthday. We love you!

All the girls wanted their turn at driving the boat.

Dru was very brave and tried knee boarding with Ryan dragging behind her.  She loved it.

Rylie didn't have much to do on the boat besides yelling "ma" for everything she wanted.  She did however have a fetish with this part of the boat.  She played with this thing all day long.  Rylie was a good sport.

The girls love Grandma.  They fought over her all weekend!

The snow bears had a pillow fight. . .

I woke Dru and Olivia up on Sunday by singing the "snow bear" song.  Cheesy, I know, but they love it.  The girls were so excited it had snowed.  They wanted to go outside and make snow angels immediately.  Our 9:00 a.m. church time did not allow it.  When we got home from church it had all melted.  I reassured the girls there will be plenty of opportunities for snow angels in the months to come.

Rylie was even excited to see the snow.
Look at those teeth.  We have a braces fund set up for each of the girls.--Don't worry!

Look at that cheek!!! It gets kissed and pinched 100 times a day.

After party fun!
Olivia loves her Webkin from Steve, Kris, Darcy, Max, Lilly and Cooper.   She has named it Lilly and sometimes she calls it Rebecca.  ha ha ha

Olivia and her sisters love to play with all the new princesses.  I sneaked in on them and took a few pictures and then had them pose.  I love to see what they do and say when they think I am not watching.  Liv loves to talk in a high squeaky voice.  So cute!

Happy Birthday Olivia!

Olivia turned 4 on October 7th and we celebrated by having a Pink Party.  We invited family and the Fairbanks family which is practically family anyway.  Almost all the guests arrived wearing pink and gave amazing pink presents!  Olivia was in pink heaven.  We ate pink cupcakes, pink cookies and pink punch, juice and soda.  We had a guessing jar of pink m&ms and a drawing for pink prizes.  Before everyone left, Olivia passed out packs of pink bubble gum to everyone who came with a thank you on it from Olivia.  It was a great night and Olivia went to bed laughing with excitement!

Pre-party photo.  {Rylie just woke up.}

Olivia waited so patiently for the party to begin.  She is playing in the box that Rayne's gift came in.

{I must not have had my flash on my camera because most of these shots have a hint of yellow. . .sorry!}

The goodies

My dad and Jon guessed only two away from the answer.  We tried to have a tie breaker, but my dad just let Jon win.

My baking girls.  I frosted, Dru put the sprinkles on and Olivia licked the bowl.

Jim even went out and bought a pink shirt for the celebration.

Peanut and Shirley came and gave Olivia pink Legos.  PERFECT!

Megan, Daniel and Winston came and gave Olivia a darling princess tin box filled with pink princess things.  Liv loved it!

Blowing out the pink candles.

This was hillarious!  Looking at these pictures, it looks like Dru is the birthday girl.  They were both so excited to see what was in that huge red bag from Rayne and Tom.

Look at the pure excitement on Liv's face.

Look at Dru's face.  So funny!

SEVEN princess barbies!  Every little girl's fantasy!

A pink princess scooter from Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Steve.  She was so excited, she rode around the kitchen and into the family room for the rest of the night.

That cute Tin from Daniel, Megan and Winston.

A beautiful pink princess dress from Grandma and Grandpa Martin.  Olivia has been wanting to be a princess for Halloween so this was PERFECT!  She tried it on later that night and could not stop looking in the mirror.  It was so fun to watch!

Our Pink family!

Jon took this picture of us.  Kim had a R.S. meeting that night and had to leave early.  Jon stayed with his two cute boys.  They gave Olivia the cutest book called Pinkalicious.  It is about a girl who ate so many pink cupcakes, she turned pink!  how cute it that?  We love the Fairbanks!
Red Ribbon Week
Today was crazy hair day!  I pulled Dru's hair back in a bunch of elastics thinking that was pretty crazy. When we went to meet her friends at the corner they had green and pink hair, hair with wire, hair with plastic cups inside, curls, bows and bobby pins, etc. I am an amateur and will do better next year.

Olivia gets an early birthday surprise!

While Olivia was a preschool on Friday a special delivery came.  It was a beautiful flower arrangement along with fun pink balloons from Aunt Rayne!  She was so excited to see them.  Olivia could not stop laughing and smiling.  She kept her balloons tied to her bed and the flowers in the kitchen for us all to enjoy.  Olivia now asks every morning if it is her birthday.  One more day!!!

Conference Weekend!

Ryan and I did manage to stay awake and thoroughly enjoyed conference.  It was a great weekend to stay indoors and be inspired!  The girls did the best they could but finally fell asleep during the afternoon session on Sunday.  They sat and watched every session with us .

Our hike to Red Pines

While Dru and Olivia were at the circus with Gma and Gpa Martin we took Rylie to Gma Kathy and Gpa Steve's home.  We were set for our Saturday afternoon date!  {Thank you grandparents!!!}  We decided to go hiking up Little Cottonwood Canyon.  The weather was perfect and the conversation divine.  It is always fun to get away with Ry, even if it is only a few hours.  Our hike ended up being more fun and longer than we anticipated.   Ryan spotted a deer and then a baby deer close by.  I am terrified of any animal so I was screaming as softly as I could the whole time.  I was certain they were about to attack and eat us alive.   Ryan was calm and patient and was able to get pretty darn close.

This a picture of the baby deer that was trying to reconnect with his mom.

This is the mom deer staring us in the face.  A little too close if you ask me!

Same shot.....look at those eyes!  Yikes!!!

This shot shows just how close we were.

The deer is now running away . . . thankgoodness
