Double digit Dru

 Dru turned 10!

How did that happen?
The last 10 years have been our best yet.

Dru is the oldest
most creative
ridiculously thoughtful
super mature
tomboy/beautiful girl
(a little bit of both)
one smart cookie
loyal friend
best example
awesome babysitter
can pull off a pretty cute closed mouth smile
(not many can)
THE BEST staller when it comes to going to bed
1D fan
intense crafter
sweetest heart

I love Druby!

Breakfast out with Dad before school.
I got home and they were already off.
They took Liv this year because somehow we missed her bday last October.

I met Dru at school for lunch.
She wanted an Einstein bagel and requested I wear my hair up in a high messy bun!  Ha!

Dru came home to these BEAUTIFUL flowers from her Aunt Rayne and Uncle Tom.
She loved them and felt so lucky to receive such a beautiful gift.  Thank you!

Aunt Adrienne came in town to celebrate Grandpa Jim's 70th birthday.  We thought bowling would be a fun way to celebrate Dru while Ade was here.

Ryan had awesome technique but Ade came out the winner of both games.
Well played, Ade!

Rylie was the most fun to watch.  She would threw her ball and then run back to sit down never caring about how many pins fell.  She was actually pretty good!

Everyone wanted to help Owen.  He clapped and cheered after he threw each ball.

It was so fun to have Ade here.  She was well loved by all the kids.
They can never get enough of her.

The 2 birthday kids!
60 years separates these 2!
Happy birthday to 2 fabulous people!

I don't think Liv ever left Ade's side.

Preschool

All week Rylie has been learning about space.
She came home with this astronaut hat and asked me to take a picture.
She must have seen the pictures of the other girls when they were in preschool.
They all have gone to the same preschool and their teacher does the exact same thing
every year. (I ADORE Mrs. Wilkinson)
It has been so fun because they all know the same cute songs and have done the same art projects. They compare and chat about "when they were little."
They are all still babies in my mind.
It breaks my heart (most days) to see them grow up.
I love being a mom.

I KNOW I have this same pic of Dru and it is killing me that I can't find it for this post.

No Talking!

We hosted Dru's book club last month and read No Talking by Andrew Clements.
It was a fun book for a fun group.  I love these girls.
We had a great discussion and played some games.
We ate a school lunch.
(really just a school snack....nachos and capri suns)
I am impressed by how they all get along and have such awesome insights.
These are some pretty smart girls!

I love to read and just pray all this book club business is making an impact on Dru.

Bobcat award

Dru and Liv earned their Butler Bobcat Award again this year!
They worked very hard to earn their awards on their first attempt.

I am not sure how I missed Dru, but here is a cute pic of Liv with Rylie
 and Boomer the bobcat.

Sock Hop!

Our stake put on the cutest sock hop for the activity day age girls.
Dru and Liv counted down the seconds until it was time to go.
They loved dressing up in these fun poodle skirts.
{we are blessed with fantastic, generous friends}
I think they were the most excited to have their dad all to themselves.

Valentine's day...a little late

The girls wanted to have a little Valentine's party.
It was little and really fun!
Each girl invited a few friends to
make valentines,
decorate cookies,
play valentine games,
freeze dance and giggle like crazy.

All the girls trying to kiss Owen.
He was not a fan.

The girl's school Valentines...

Liv and Rylie wanted to curl their hair for the big day.

Liv's Valentine box

Rylie's curls and funny faces.
This kid cracks me up!

Sledding

I took the Liv and Rylie sledding last Saturday.
The sun was actually out so we had to take advantage.
We started out on a baby hill and worked our way to the big one.
We had so much fun!
