Third time's a charm

We finally went boating with our friends the Hansens!  It took three attempts but we made it.  The Spencer family came along which made it really fun.  It was great to get to know them better and it turns out we know a lot of the same people.

Treavor took us through the weeds to get to our perfect water.

The girls were on flag duty.

Ry with Annalisa and Chris and little Bently with Rachel in the background.  Sorry, I guess I never got any good shots of Rachel and Treavor.

Ryan making some waves.
Thank you Hansen family for a fun boat trip!  We can't wait to do it again!

Swimming with cousins

Steve and Kris are in town so we are taking advantage of having more cousins around.  We went swimming at the Rec. Center this afternoon.  It was hot, crowded and Very Fun!

Dancing Olivia

Olivia had her first dance class today.  The class was taught by Ms. Pearl who was my dance teacher!  Liv has been so excited about this class and has asked me everyday if it was her ballerina day.  She loved the class but complained they didn't do any twirling.  It is a  1  1/2 hour creative dance class full of bubble blowing, parachutes, reading, stretching and snacks (apple slices, luna bars and organic juice)....maybe a little too creative for Liv.  I think we need to find a class that actually dances more!  She did have fun running around with the other children and said she wanted to go back tomorrow.
Rylie and I stayed the whole time to watch.  Rylie didn't move a muscle until snack time.  She joined in at that point until the class was over.

This is wonderful Ms. Pearl.  She is  just as I remembered!

A little singing time.

Rylie's first haircut

Rylie received her first professional haircut today from Rachel.  Rylie sat very still and with the help from her blanket and some vanilla wafers she did a great job.

Getting away from the rain

G & G Martin invited us to go to St. George.  We thought about for one second and said yes!  It was nice to get away from the constant rain.
We went boating, hiking, swimming, watched a movie and some basketball and ate a lot!  It was a perfect weekend.  Thanks for everything!!!

our second attempt

We have attempted twice to go boating with the Hansen family this summer. The weather has never cooperated!  Although we didn't make it yesterday, I told them I still wanted a picture.  (I have had no pictures to blog!)  They ended up taking us to dinner which was so incredibly nice of them.  We had a lot of fun with them that night (rain and all) and their cute little Bently. We look forward to our next attempt!

Dru's Kindergarten Program

Dru had her Kindergarten program today.  She recited her monthly poems, sang learning songs and silly songs.  It was pretty darn cute.  It has been a joy to watch Dru grow and learn this year.  She has ADORED her teacher and gets sad when I talk about summer.  She LOVES school!

Grandpa and Grandma Martin came to watch and gave her a fun candy necklace.

Liv and Rylie watch Dru's every move!  They love her and want to be just like Dru!
