Natural History Museum

We spent the afternoon with some dinosaurs & cousins.  

It was a great combination!

Owen could have spent the day at this little computer.  He loved pushing the buttons.

They had silly hats for the kids to make at the end.  Owen loved his hat and exploring the museum. 

Owen's first day

 Owen started preschool!  

He is going to the same preschool his sisters went to.  

All my kids will know the same songs and be able to share in those fun memories of

sweet Carol Wilkinson.  She has been a perfect introduction to school for my kids.  

I will forever be grateful for her.

She hugs them and loves them and genuinely cares them.  

I couldn't ask for a better teacher.

Owen was so excited to go!  

He got up early with his sisters and had his backpack on 2 hours early.

He knows the drill and let me take any picture I wanted.

Owen is so lucky to go to preschool with his cousin Henry.

How fun is that?! 

Owen also goes with one of his best friends, Emme!  

We carpool which is SO nice.

Disney Festival

We kept celebrating Rylie's birthday through the weekend.  Rylie invited two cute friends to the Disney Festival at the Energy Solutions Arena. 

We sat in the Key Bank suite which was fun but a little far away from the stage.  We ate, danced and sang to all the Disney classics.

Rylie turns 7!

Rylie turned 7 on Saturday.

She started the day with breakfast with her dad at Kneaders.

 Later that night we celebrated with family with a camping themed birthday party.

287 matches and William won!

The guests could build their own trail mix to take home.

Grandma Kathy surprised us by bringing a delicious peach pie.  YUM!

Rylie loved opening the presents.

We had a race to see who could put on the camping gear in the back pack the fastest.

Our new lawn boy

Ryan ran out to mow the lawn on Saturday and Owen followed him out. 

He stuck with it and mowed the front lawn with ryan.  

It was so cute to watch.

school blues

Rylie has had a couple of hard days at school.  She says she has a stomach right before we leave and then starts to cry.  She is just nervous.  I told her I would meet her for lunch if she went to school happy.  It was fun to go and see her with a smile on her face sitting next to her new friend, June.

I love this site after school. 

We love having friends over to play.

Owen and I are loving our time together.

lucky

We feel so lucky to live so close to these amazing mountains.  We have been hiking a lot this summer.  The kids aren't thrilled until we are on the trail and then they are mesmerized.  We took this hike the weekend before with the kids.  It took about 1 1/2 hours to get to the top.  Ryan and I decided to try and beat that time the next weekend.  Just the two of us.  

It had rained earlier that morning so all the trees and shrubs were wet.  I got soaked just walking up through them all.  We made it up in an hour and walked an extra few minutes to another peak and saw a much better view.  It was pretty amazing.  We want to bring the kids back up so they can see.

It was fun to have alone time with Ryan doing something we both love.
