End of a great year!

Summer is half way over and I am so behind on the blog.
I don't want to miss a thing so I am rewinding back a bit.

Dru was president of Butler Elementary this year.
She ran for office last year with a clever campaign...
Got a clue?  Vote for Dru!
She made it to the final five with just hanging posters around the school.
Then she need to give a speech before the final vote.
Dru prerecorded her voice and just acted out the part.
It was a hit!  She won!
Dru had such an amazing year.  Her great friend Ellie was VP and together they
had a blast.  Dru's teacher was so perfect for her.  She loved having big responsibilities and never wanted to miss a day of school.  Ever.
Dru will be going to Butler Middle school this year.  We are both a bit nervous about the whole idea.
I know she will do great because Dru has a big heart and will be a friend to everyone.

Olivia had an awesome year too!  She was elected class president.
Olivia loved her French teacher and is really loving the immersion program.
She has a lot of darling friends and is looking forward to 4th grade.

Hiking

One of our favorite activities to do when the weather gets warm is hiking.  We have already taken some pretty amazing hikes.  We are so lucky to live in a beautiful area and live close to these gorgeous mountains.  The kids are good walkers and love to be in nature and encourage each other to keep going.

The BEES!

We went to the Salt Lake Bee's game and got to watch from the KeyBank suite.

Rylie loved the music and danced any time it came on.
She is the cutest goofball I know!

We went with our good friends, the Blouts!

At the end of the game, Dru and Rylie got to run the bases.
It was a perfect ending to a beautiful night.

Park City with Olivia

Olivia skipped school and we headed up to Park City for a fun weekend getaway.
It was so fun to spend one on one time with Olivia.  She is a sweetheart!
We started off at the outlets to do a little shopping.  We walked around the entire outlet mall then grabbed some lunch.

We stayed at the Marriott where my parents had been staying the week.  My mom stayed up with us and treated us to a yummy Mexican meal that night.

We LOVE this place.  There are so many family friendly things to do.

One of the major highlights was panning for gemstones right there at the resort.  They had just finished building this cool exhibit and we had it all to ourselves.

It was fun to sort out the gems and identify what each stone was.

We also took the city busy to main street.  We shopped all over and ate at a delicious lunch.

We stopped in O.C. Tanner and this sweet woman let Olivia try on several thousand dollars worth of Roberto Coin jewelry.   What a treat!

We ended the weekend with a manicure.
It was wonderful to be with Olivia and spend time with Grandma Kathy at the same time.
Thanks mom for making the weekend so special!
