bobcat awards x 3

All 3 girls earned their bobcat awards this year in the first round.  Rylie has been anticipating this day for years.  She has been so jealous of Dru and Liv's medals.
I am super proud of them and all their hard work that went into this award.

I love this pic of the kids admiring their first ever bobcat award medal.

They each were able to pick out a book as an extra reward.

Rylie and her cute friend, Sarah.

Cute Liv.  I was only able to snap one quick picture of her.

This is Dru's last year of elementary....her last bobcat award assembly.
I am not sure how I feel about that.

Dru and her fun friends, Ellie and Olivia.

These 2 begged and begged to get a pic with the school mascot.
In 2 short years Owen will be here getting his award.
I am not sure how I feel about that either.

Valentine's Day

Oivia had a "manners" tea party at school.
She was so excited!

Rylie dressed herself in anything and everything that had a heart on it.

Dru did not want a picture but I found this check list in her room.
She is the most thoughtful girl...a valentine for everyone.
(the principal, secretary, Mr. Ray the janitor, her teacher, her fav lunch lady and her class.)

Valentine party!

I love Valentine's day and I am so glad my mom does too!
We celebrated the holiday with a yummy dinner, games, decorating cookies and dessert.

The cousins loved playing the fun games together.

Making our valentine envelopes.
We all brought homemade valentines for each other.

Delivering our valentines.

Frosting the cookies.

 Megan made these delicious desserts.
She really is an amazing baker!

My mom gave all the moms a signed copy of Ann Romney's cookbook.

The kids got a darling valentine's shirt.
Thank you for this fun tradition!

Snowman birthday party

Owen wanted a snowman party to celebrate #4.  I had been planning a Mr. Potato Head party but he of course changed his mind.  A January birthday went great with a snowman theme so we did it.

We ate pizza and fruit along with pretzels (snowman arms), carrots (snowman noses),  olives (snowman buttons) and water (melted snowmen).
We had a snowman guessing jar with snowman marshmallows.  Kevin won!
We played pin the nose on the snowman and threw snowballs into a bucket.

Aunt Adrienne happened to be in town for business.  Perfect timing!

 Snowballs for dessert!
Powdered donut holes and vanilla ice cream.

Everyone was "snow" great to come and stay and celebrate Owen.

Studio C LIVE!

Dru has lately been in love with Studio C which is a comedy show put on by BYU Students.  She will watch them on her kindle any chance she gets.  My mom surprised her on Christmas with a signed DVD of season 1 & 2.   Dru got an even bigger surprise last week.  My mom has a good friend whose daughter is the clothing designer for the show.  She was able to get my mom 2 tickets to a live taping.
19, 000 people tried to get in but only 100 made the cut.  Dru felt pretty lucky she was able to go.  My made a fun night of it with dinner and driving down early.  They waited and waited in line and got great seats.  Dru had made  rainbow loom bracelets and gave them to the cast.  They actually wore them that night in one of the shows.  How cool is that?  Dru was thrilled.
It was truly a night Dru will never forget.

Do you want to build a snowman?

Ever since we saw the movie Frozen, Owen has been obsessed with snowmen.  He asks everyday if he can build one.  He listens to the Frozen soundtrack and knows every word.  One Saturday, Ryan and the girls helped Owen build a snowman.

"noni noni,  bobby, chubaluba, odeedut, taba taba, ok papi and come to papa"
You love to read books, watch movies, go to primary, play outside, play with your Mr. Potato Heads, draw snowmen, play with your sisters, eat cereal and give out kisses and hugs.  You hate taking baths, timeouts  and haircuts.  You sneak down in your sister's room at night.  We call you O and you remind us your name is Owen and spell it out for us.  I love your big brown eyes, long eyelashes and crooked thumbs up.  I love when your ears get fire hot red.  You make being a mom so fun.  We feel lucky to have you in our family.
