Day two was filled with perfect weather and jammed pack with fun!
It all began on the subway. The subway was bittersweet for us. It saved us from a lot walking and was a huge time saver. It was also an "adventure." The girls loved to "surf" and entertain others along the way. Ashley and I just hoped we were on the right train, heading in the right direction.

...it makes me laugh out loud just thinking about it.
We headed to Staten Island to take the ferry so we could get a good look
at the Statue of Liberty.
Dru had a great time using her camera!!!
We then stopped to get a pretzel which was a fav. for the girls.
Who knew a 2 dollar pretzel could bring so much happiness.
We found the bull on Wall Street.
Next, we found our way to Ground Zero.
Super cool! It was a very humbling and peaceful place.
Unfortunately the museum was not yet complete but we were allowed to view the fountains and survivor tree.
Over 3,000 names of the people killed on that tragic day.
They were strategically placed based on where they were in the buildings that day and
by request to be put by family members.

Then we walked a million miles to get to Sarabeth's for brunch.
I would have walked a million more for the lemon ricotta pancakes.

These were AMAZING!!!
After we were STUFFED we walked over to the American Girl Doll store for tea.
We walked from meal to meal. :)
This store was incredible. It was huge, beautiful, fun, creative and expensive
....they thought of everything!
Dru has the bitty baby twins.
They did not make the trip so we borrowed a loner for the tea party.
Pretty cute, right?
Dru bought an outfit for her boy twin(Sam) and a puppy dog for (Sam & Sage) to play with.
She bought them with the money that her grandparents gave her before we left.
Thank you!
We walked the store for a couple of hours.
The girls could have stayed all day.
Eliza bought a new doll and even had her ear's pierced.
It was a definite highlight on our trip.
At this point Ashley and Eliza went to go see the FABULOUS Marry Poppin's play.
Dru and I had already seen it so we were lucky enough to hang with Ade and her super awesome friend, Mala.
Adrienne lives in an amazing neighborhood and in such a darling apartment. It was fun to get a tour.
She took us to Central Park for an night time egg hunt.
We met up with Mala for dinner at Celeste.
It was a delicious italian restaurant.
It was packed, noisy and SO FUN.
We headed next to Cookie Insomnia for an incredible cookie.
Of course we needed ice cream after that.
The Junior Mint ice cream is a must.
We never went hungry...
Day two lessons learned:
Street pretzels are gross. (to me)
Don't eat all your meals between 3 and 5.
Dru and Eliza are good sports. We dragged them so far and for so long.
The person who created Am. Girl Dolls are bajillionaires.
Adrienne is amazing. (well, I already knew that one)
