Florida Fun

 We started our summer with a trip to Florida!

We boarded the plane at 10:50pm.  Only Dru really remembers what it is like to fly so everyone was pretty excited and bright eyed as we boarded the plane.  

About 15 minutes into the flight Owen folded over like a taco and fell asleep.

We arrived around 5:30am, grabbed our rental car and drove to our hotel.  We met our friends the Brookshires, hugged, said hello, changed our clothes and then we were off to Epcot.

The kids did so well!  It was hot but not too crowded.  Fun, Fun day!

We found Mickey!

Looks like I took the picture at the same time as the photographer.

We found Minnie too!

We woke up the next morning and went to Animal Kingdom.

Dru got a little sick.

It also rained like crazy for about 20 minutes.

Don's cute niece Zoey came with us and was so sweet to owen.

Owen got a little sick too.

Then Liv had her turn.

Our third day we headed to MGM Hollywood studios.

Owen rode Tower of Terror & Liv rode the Aerosmith Rockin roller coaster.  Very brave kids!

Disney picked our family to welcome everyone to the Little Mermaid Voyage.

By the 4th day we needed a break.

We slept in and went to Downtown Disney and did a little shopping.

Each of the kids earned money and were so excited to spend it.

We walked into the Lego Store and threw up all over.

Good times.

Day 5 we went to Universal Studios.

One of our first stops was Harry Potter World.  It was pretty amazing.

The ride was incredible and the line getting to the ride was awesome too.

This in the line that wraps around outside.  You then walk into the building to find more crazy lines.  

The theme parks are pretty tricky about how they do this.  

Rylie spotted this cafe and wanted to take a picture. 

This simple and silly ride was Owen's favorite.  

We spotted Bumblebee.  He was awesome!

We also found Marilyn Monroe.  

Don, Ryan and I went on this roller coaster.

I love a good roller coaster but this one was too scary.  I would never ride it again.

I was on the verge of tears riding all the way up to the top.

Day 6 was a beach day!

 Ryan drove us to Daytona Beach which was a little over an hour away.

The Brookshires had a family party to go to so it was just us.

This beach was so perfect for our family.

Super warm water (85 degrees), soft sand, shallow water, just big enough waves for boogie boarding, life guard and bathrooms nearby and 2 beach chairs.

It was a perfect day.

Owen dug this hole for almost an hour.

The kids crashed on the way back home.

The hotel had an AMAZING POOL!

We went swimming 5 out of the 7 days we were there.

It had a super fun slide, a lazy river (the girls favorite) and a huge summing pool.

We went to church on Sunday which was right across the street from the temple.  So cool.

We love the Brookshire family! We are so happy they invited us to come along.
