Ryan graduated!
PCBS is a 3 year program full of grueling papers during the year and intense classes every August for 2 weeks. I went to Seattle to meet him for graduation and the long weekend to celebrate this huge accomplishment. It was exciting to see him among his peers and colleagues who admire and respect him. I am so proud of Ryan.
Ryan always manages to squeeze in golf wherever he travels. This year he went to Gold Mountain. He sent me these pics. It is a beautiful course.
I arrived Thursday
(I flew in, got on the link light rail then on a streetcar and found the hotel
...all by myself!
For those who really know me realize the magnitude of this event.)
and we went straight to the Seahawks game.
The fans were just as exciting to watch as the game.

The next day was graduation. I went to a class with Ryan and then just wandered around campus.
The University of Washington is gorgeous.

The rest of the weekend was ours to explore Seattle.
We decided to go up and view the city from the Columbia Center
which is the tallest building on the West Coast.
We went on the embarrassing but super informative and fun Duck Tour.
Our driver was crazy and wore many "hats."
He was pretty funny and told us a lot of cool facts.
This is the Sleepless in Seattle house.
Pikes Market was so cool. I loved it!
It was crowded and full of energy.
It is hard to see but this is a crazy long line to get coffee from the original Starbucks.
We had a delicious lunch at Beechers, home of the best cheese.
Dessert was a mouth watering peach and nectarine.
SAM (Seattle Art Museum) was a fun place to visit as well.
We both love art and wandered around for a couple of hours.

We took the ferry to Bainbridge Island.
We loved the Underground Tour.
It was fascinating to learn about the start of Seattle.
We took a water taxi to West Seattle.
This was my favorite part of the whole trip.
We rented bikes and ate lunch by the beach.
We had to see the gum wall. Totally gross, but cool.
We ate well while in Seattle.
Ryan's favorite meal was at the Crab Pot.
He was in heaven.
I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich and watching Ryan eat.
We ended the night and our trip with some yummy ice cream from the creamery by the pier.
It was so great to spend the weekend with Ryan. I am pretty darn lucky to be married to such a hard working, kind, smart and handsome guy. I am thrilled he is done and did so well.
This weekend could not have happened without my parents.
