Yellowstone

We went to Yellowstone with the Martin family October 1-5.
After a long long drive we finally made it to the cabin.  It was actually more like an amazing house with perfect accommodations for all.  We had a wonderful time together.  I just love this family!

YELLOWSTONE 2014

Our first day we headed straight for the park.  Jim rented us a Gaperguide which was like a personal tour guide in our car.  It was awesome!  We saw a lot of Geysers, wildlife and incredible views.  The first day was super chilly.  We were prepared with lots of layers and we used them all.
Adrienne brought her awesome boyfriend Loren.  He was so nice to let owen hang and jump all over him and take close up animal pictures for me.

We went to see Old Faithful and had to wait a bit for the big eruption.
We ate lunch and hung out in the gift shop.

Waiting patiently....

There it is!
I remember seeing this in my youth.  I am glad the kids got see this amazing site.

We headed over to the Old Faithful Inn.
It was so cool inside!

Meltdown #72

Cool wildlife.

Owen fell asleep in the car at the end of everyday.

Dru was worried about missing school and brought all her homework.

Alex and Elisabeth made dinner the first night.  Yummy lasagna soup!

While at the cabin we played games and played with PENNY and CHARLOTTE!
My kids could not get enough of the twins.  They were so good the entire trip!

Proof of the chilliness.

Our trusty tour guide.

Dru was clearly not ready for the camera. :)

Our last day in the park we finally saw some bears.  We spotted a mama bear and a bear cub.

EVERYONE wanted a pic too.

We wore Owen out!
I love sleeping pictures of Owen..... he is so quiet.

I do have to mention that 8 out of the 14 of us got sick while we were there.  The throw up kind of sick.  It was almost comical.  Everyone was a good sport about it and we did not let it ruin the fun.

THANK YOU GRANDMA AND GRANDPA MARTIN!

Soccer in the rain

Ryan is coaching Rylie's soccer team this year and is doing an awesome job!  They love Ryan.  He has taught them a lot and the team has really progressed in just a few games.  They are fun to watch.  The Green Girls are actually a great team.  Last Saturday they played in the rain.  It POURED and POURED.  Not one girl complained and they seemed to love every minute.
They are undefeated so far.

BHS mini drill camp

Olivia decided to do the Brighton High School mini drill camp.  I was so excited because Olivia loves to dance and is a great dancer.  They practiced Tuesday and Thursday and then preformed on Friday at halftime during the Brighton football game. The Accadians could not have been cuter with the girls.  It was a great experience for Olivia.  It was pretty brave of her to preform in front of a huge stadium of people but she did it!!!

She danced with some of her cute friends.

Practicing before the big performance.

Playing some games to pass the time.

The real Accadians

Our family was outside watching the game and unfortunately it started to rain.  They had to evacuate the stadium.  We all waited in the gym for the rain to stop.  Owen was beyond bored but waited patiently.

We watched them practice and practice and play games. We waited a long time!

Owen loved the Bengal mascots.

Finally the rain stopped and we ran out to get a good seat.

Here they are!
Liv is in the middle group to the left of the Accadian kneeling...to the right of the tall girl kicking.

Olivia loved it and wants to do it again next year!
